The Procedure
1. Briefing
In a personal conversation, on the phone or by email, I will clarify the following questions with you:
How comprehensive should your website be? Have you already thought about the structure? Should the website be monolingual or multilingual? Do you need an online shop? Should processes be mapped (document exchange, forms, etc.)? Is a login area planned for members (closed user group)? Do you already have a domain name (www.your-name.ch)? Which social media channels (Facebook, Instagram etc.) do you already use?
2. Design Phase
Based on your wishes and requirements, I will put together the start page (home page) and the most important sub-pages in a draft. You will get a first impression of what your new website could look like. You will receive the draft as a PDF file within a few days.
The first draft is discussed and requests for changes are implemented immediately afterwards. If you don’t have any texts yet, now would be the right time to write them. Tip: Pay attention to search engine optimization (called Search Engine Optimization or SEO) in your texts. We are happy to support you in writing SEO-friendly texts.
3. Implementation
You have approved the web design draft. Now the programmer can start his work. At the same time, I add your texts and images, set the necessary internal and outgoing links and perfect the design. Plugins are installed that provide information on how reader-friendly your texts are on the web and whether your keywords have been placed optimally (SEO). In addition, the performance is optimized so that images can be loaded quickly and without delays.
Before the website goes online, you will receive a preview link so that you can check and confirm again at your leisure.
4. Support
Your website goes online. All pages, contact forms and login areas are tested again. If you wish, we can set up the Google Search Console so that you can view the statistics (visitor numbers) of your website. With the CMS (Content Management System) from WordPress it is very easy for you to edit or exchange your texts and images. You will receive training documents from me, which are clearly an briefly described.
We also take care of the maintenance of your website, i.e. we regularly carry out necessary backups and updates and remain a reliable contact for you in the future if you have any further questions about your website.
